[Philmont] Cowboys Movies

Although I remember reading in Rock Rohrbocher's Philmanac that parts of
Lonesome Dove (the buffalo scenes especially) were filmed at Philmont.
 
And while not directly related to the Philmont area, William Bonney aka
Billy the Kid was visiting Lucien Maxwell's granddaughter (? relative)
at the Maxwell home in Ft. Sumner when he was shot.

I don't think you are going to find a movie that centers around
Cimarron. However, two of my very favorites are Lonesome Dove and
Dancing With Wolves. Either would be awesome with pizza and soda!!
