[Philmont] Cowboys Movies

Dances with Wolves - Ugh. Boys will like the scene where the diary is used for TP, though.

I would recommend Cowboys, a John Wayne movie where he has to take a bunch of teenagers for a cattle drive because no adults are available. They ended up making a tv series about it (short lived). Lot's of good scout discussion points on that one, showing boys having to learn to take responsibility - especially after Wayne dies. It was very scout-like in its approach.

  I don't think you are going to find a movie that centers around Cimarron. However, two of my very favorites are Lonesome Dove and Dancing With Wolves. Either would be awesome with pizza and soda!!
