[Philmont] Ingenious socks?

I used them during a Philmont trek in 2003. After taining for months to get
ready my boots were getting snug. I thought these would reduce the sock
volume a bit. I only bought one pair so alternated with regular hiking
socks and liners.

They worked fine, did the job, made me feel like I had a little bit more
wiggle room and no blisters. I didn't notice if me feet were sweatier.
Overall, no complaints.

Has anyone tried these, ingenious socks by Wigwam.

They have a liner sewn in the inside. Tried them this weekend on a
shakedown hike. My feet seemed to get a little more "sweatier" than the
traditional polypro liner and wool.
