That is a great price on a Red Cloud. We had several people in our
contingent last summer use that pack and it worked well for them. Another
special I saw recently was a closeout at Campmor on Jansport Rockies for
$100. That was another popular pack with our group and everyone that used
it was happy with the performance. I have used a Jansport Alaska for a
number of years. Although it is a great pack, it is bigger than you need
and I would buy smaller (and save a pound in pack weight) if I were buying
today.
