I would never recommend Baldy or Trail peak with packs. I'm sure that is not
universal.
Also, the "Trail" down into Copper Park, from Greenwood Canyon was not a
trail in 2001. Very steep and dangerous. Also, in 1999, some wanted to see
Trail Peak on way from Fish Camp to Abreau. They were willing to miss the
spectacular vistas that went with the normal trail. Divided both crews to
accommodate the scouts. We went over Webster Pass, to Trail Peak, and then
down Bonita Creek trail. This trail had not had any maintenance and
basically did not exist!! I was told that "no trek uses it so we don't
bother." Stay with this list and you can educate yourselves in ways that can
be invaluable.
