Patience..
The call-in for 2004 is November 10th.
You'll have a few days to decide and make your $50/per deposit when they
call - at #53 they will. There will be another payment due in January.

My troop is 53 or so on the wait list for 2003. I'm not expecting to hear
anything until November 2002 - allowing time for units and councils to give
up crews. From the Philmont staff perspective, my guess is that their work
flow process is probably focused on getting 2002 staff and crews on board
for this summer and fall, manage the 2004 call-in in October, and then start
working the wait list for 2003.
I'm expecting that we'll be called and so its probably time to start
gathering a loose confederation of crew members that are willing and able to
be flexible for a trek sometime during their summer of 2003. I'm also
assuming that once we get the call and specific dates, we'll need to close
ranks and bring in the money fairly quickly.
Any other good advice for us crews on the wait list?
