You will undoubtedly get a lot of comment on this subject. We went last year and
our guys had a pretty good idea of what they wanted to do ( programs) before the
books ever came. Rock Climbing, a trip up Baldy, horse back riding were at the
top of the list. Knowing this in advance allowed us to research previous treks
to get an idea of which trek we needed to apply for. The sooner the better. Trek
20 fit the bill for us and we loved it. Not an easy trek by any stretch of the
imagination, but it had what the scouts wanted to do.
