I don't know how many 2002 crews are represented by this discussion
list, but in all of the comments on call in success, trek selection,
arrival dates, etc. I don't recall seeing any duplications. And based
on conversations with the PhilPholks, the reality is that a majority of
the crews *don't* send their trek selections in right away, which
improves the odds even more. In fact several years ago Mark Griffin,
then on the Phil-staff, gave a statistic that something like 80 - 85 %
of the crews get their first or second selection, which included those
crews that sent in their cards in mid-April. Granted this was a few
years back and the contingent leaders may have become more "savvy", but
I'd say you still have a reasonable amount of time to respond.
 
And there are no "bad" treks at Philmont!
