I use the Coleman Xtreme stoves that have a detachable fuel bottle and no
fuel container, just an open fuel line. I plan to take them in our packs,
the fuel bottles are available at Philmont's Tooth of Time Traders store.

I know I have said this before but for those who have not seen it.
The only safe answer is:
Don't take fuel bottles and stoves on the plane even if they let you.
There is no way for you to properly purge any of them and I would not want
to fly on the airplane that had a potential bomb.
I was an aircraft mission commander and aircraft maintenance officer in the
Navy for 24 years. I have extensive hazardous materials transport
training.
Ship them via ground. It is safer.
Just include your crew # .
Think about it. It is safer this way. It is simple. It is not costly.
Should be a no brainer.
