I would suggest burros for crews that are mature enough to handle
frustrations. Burros will certainly be an experience that won't be
forgotten. Many crews have no stubborn problems, some crews make very slow
time, become frustrated & there have been situations of cruelty to the
animal due to immaturity to deal with the situation. It was an extreme
reaction, but several years past, a frustrated crew pushed their burro off
the side of a cliff.
If you opt to make burros an element of your trek, please make sure your
crew is ready for the mental capacity to deal with whatever the burros bring
you. You really might end up living on "burrowed time".
