I don't know for certain what happened to the crew that had no respect for
their burro, but I would make an educated guess that I would wager the money
I don't have on, that the crew at a minimum was immediately pulled from the
trail & sent home & who knows for how long that unit was banned to ever send
anyone back to Philmont....
 
Philmont takes their livestock & wildstock quite seriously & dishes out
serious consequences for ignoring common sense & appropriate behavior.
