We will be going on our first Philmont trek in 2003. We have a crew member
who will turn eighteen before we leave for our trek. He has a brother on
the crew who will be 16 at the time. We will still make the adult limit of
4 but we were figuring that the 18 year old could tent with his younger
brother.
This is a new issue for us because we generally don't have too many 18 year
olds at our troop camp outs. Does Youth Protection restrict adult/child
siblings from tenting together? Will Philmont have a problem with it? I
think that both the 18 year old and the adults in the troop would prefer to
have the brothers tenting together than having an 18 year old tent with one
of us.
Thanks,
Pat
