One of the advisors took his GPS on our trek in 2001.
All of our navigation was done by the scouts using map and compass, but it was
kind of interesting ( and fun ) to monitor altitude and grade changes on the
GPS. It was amazing how much altitude you gained on some of those long, gradual
grades.
