[Philmont]: Joining Late

Assembled wisdom requested.

Our crew has a Sunday arrival date at Philmont this year. One of our adult leaders, we have 3 adult leaders including him, is encountering a problem. There is a family function that he must attend Saturday evening, and the best transportation arrangements he can make gets him into Philmont Monday afternoon approximately 2pm. Flights on Sunday from St. Louis to Denver or Albuquergue and then some sort of ground transportation to Raton or Cimarron are limited, especially for a single individual.
Does anyone know if Philmont will work him through the check-in process and make any arrangments for getting into the backcountry to join our crew?
>From past experience, I believe the last afternoon bus departure to the trailheads are at 3pm. This would be a very close timing issue, to arrive at 2pm and be ready to go at 3pm.
I plan to contact Philmont to ask this same question, but I thought I would request this groups thoughts/experience too.
Or should he just forget about attending Philmont? Monies have been paid and I am not sure we could get a replacement.
