Wal-Mart has a extra large laundry bag that many of our scouts used last year. Cost is aprox. $6 has a draw string closure. They also sell an Outdoor Product brand extra large duffle bag that will easily hold any pack. About $20 or less. This is what I used, excellent bag.

Subject: [Philmont]: Duffel Bags

We are flying into Denver from New Jersey
In the past we have put our packs in large (45 gallon) plastic bags and duct
taped them to within an inch of their lives

I do not believe this will work with the new TSA regulations

So we are looking into getting something like a heavy duty laundry bag with
a drawstring closure.

Can those of you who have done this (or something similar) please comment.

What size bag?? The plastic bags were 38 inches by 46 inches
I have been unable to find a cloth bag this size.

How heavy should the material be?

What else should we consider??
We do not want to leave loose straps and such hanging in the open to get
caught on machinery.

Thank you
