You bet... I've already rented a 15 pax van this summer at the CSprings
airport from Dollar Rental for $100/day + airport surcharge ($10/day). Talk
w/ Scott @ 719.633.3147, and tell him your a Scouting organization. With
your Troop's tax exempt I.D., the surcharge taxes for renting from an
airport location are very minimal, besides, the advantages of getting right
off the plane and into a van is tremendous. You can rent downtown for a
little less, but then you have to get to the offsite location. The best
price I found in town was from Intermountain Coach Leasing, 719.533.1122
(20 miles from airport) for $95 + no surcharge and 215 free miles a day. We
chartered a school bus from Durham School Services, 719.687.4411 (Molly),
for the round robin from CSprings to Philmont and back. The bus cost +
driver + gas is $34/hr, and I figure the total cost will be $850...
