RE: [Philmont]: 2004 TREKS books?

Arrived today, late via UPS, in Hickory, NC. For those who not ever
received one before, the package contains not only the Treks book, but also
a map of the entire ranch, a Tooth of Time Traders catalog, a staff
application, information on other opportunities (OA Trail Crew, Rayado,
etc.), job descriptions for crew leader & chaplain's aide, and a copy of the
Guidebook to Adventure for each participant.

One nice thing about the Treks book is the elevation cross-section of each
route (although poorly reproduced in some cases) and details on the length,
elevation, miles climbing & descending, and highest elevation attained.

If you have multiple crews, there's a table in the back showing where
different routes intersect, in care you want to meet up on the trail.

A fine evening's reading!
