Our books came in on Saturday morning, but our council didn't make them
available until their offices opened on Monday morning. Aaargh. So I
trekked up there yesterday to pick up the books, then went to Staples and
spent a small fortune on next-day UPS. This was 10:00 yesterday morning -
according to the tracking data, it arrived in Las Vegas, NM (about 100 miles
from Philmont) at 7:30 this morning. But they rescheduled the estimated
delivery to March 24 - another day! So my card got to within 100 miles of
Philmont in less than 24 hours, but it's going to take at least that long to
go the remaining distance. How frustrating...I will definitely waste the
money on next-day UPS again.
