MessageOur troop owns 6 Coleman Peak 1 liquid fuel stoves .Am I being foolish for planning on using them?
My crews have used the Peak One since I bought my first one back in 1980. My original has made 8+ trips out there and still works fine. I had to sneak out of the house for the last Autumn Adventure trip because I didn't take it. I took two other newer ones. With all apologies to Coleman collector John LeBlanc, I have never rebuilt the original. It could use a rebuild as is isn't as fast as a newer one. The stoves are sturdy and dependable. You have to watch placing large pots on them for balance, but I'm sure you know that from experience.
