I throw away my watch at Philmont. I can not think of any reason to
stay connected. Focus on being detached, enjoy the time away.

Subject: [Philmont]: Shortwave Radio at Philmont

I am a news junkie -- and am thinking about bringing a small/light
shortwave radio to stay up with what's happening in the world. I
would think in the mountains you should get good reception. Does
anybody have a feeling if it's worth the weight?
