No. All of the commercial kits I've looked at are heavy on the Band-Aids
and light on the other essentials. I put my own together, starting with a
"weekend" kit, weeding out the excess, and supplementing it with other
items. I was challenged to find a nice bag to fit my assortment without
having to buy a fully outfitted kit. Ended up using two smaller bags - an
Outdoor Research organizer bag for most of it (which, because of the "OR"
stitched to the outside has been nicknamed the Operating Room), and an older
first aid kit bag (the Crash Cart) for some larger gauze and Ace bandages,
the cold pack, the irrigation syringe, and some other bulky items. On the
trail the OR goes everywhere with me, and the Crash Cart is with me most of
the time except for side hikes.
Never rely on a first aid kit that you haven't personally inventoried. The
process of selecting and stocking just the things you think you'll need (and
are willing to carry) helps prepare you mentally for the variety of
situations you may need to respond to.

Subject: [Philmont]: First Aid Kits
Has anyone found a good first aid kit that has the stuff a crew needs? You
know, well organized, the right stuff, light, no extra junk.
Thanks,
