[Philmont]: Trek #3

All 12 of us are Philmont first-timers on Trek #3 mid-June. My question is in regards to one scout (a strong 17 year-old) with a recently (Feb) repaired ACL; rehab is going very well. We intentionally selected a typical trek so as to not overdo the effort. His orthopedic surgeon has cleared him (tentatively) for the trip in June, assuming he continues to progress.

Any insight on how to best approach any of the more demanding days specific to #3 would be appreciated.
