If you are talking about the white buffalo patch you saw in 2002 that was a temporary Philmont patch. In 2003 they made an all black buffalo patch. Philmont issues a number of temporary patches that nay one who finds the trading post can buy. These change from time to time. That is the opposite of the Arrowhead that can not be bought at Philmont and does not change. I could not find a white ghost patch this morning but there is a black one on E-Bay this morning

One answer to this question talked about the white bull patch. Yes, in the early days there was a black bull for men and a white bull for women. Because of concerns on discrimination the white bull was dropped and everyone that wants a Philmont Bull can get a black one at Tooth of Time Traders. I remember in 1992 being disappointed that I could not replace my mother's white bull. There are sevral white bull patches for sale on E-bay if you wish to see what one looks like.
