We did Trek #21 in 2004, and hiked in from Ponderosa Park on our last day.
We left camp at 4:30 am and hit the "Welcome Back" gate at 11:30. Our guys
were really moving that day as they were anxious to get back to base camp.
We didn't take a break until we got to the base of the Tooth, and spent
about 45 minutes on top. From Ponderosa, it is about 10 miles, and going
across Tooth Ridge and down "Heartbreak Ridge" into base is tough. We had
two crews come in from Clarks Fork and they got back around 2:30. I haven't
come up from North Fork Uracca, so I can't comment on that.
