In 03 we hiked from Crater Lake through N. Fork Urraca to Schaefer's Pass
for our last night. We hiked over Tooth Ridge to Tooth the next morning then to
base camp. The hike through N. Fork Urraca was pretty and not very hard. We
had dinner for lunch since the Pass is a dry camp. We went from Cyphers to
Clear Creek and you go over Mt. Phillips after Comanche Peak and Thunder
Ridge. The climb up Phillips is easier from Cyphers as the trail has several
switch backs and the other side is steep with loose rock.
