In 2003 we were hiking into down into base camp from the Tooth of Time, and
ran into a father and son who were hiking UP to the Tooth of Time.
My understanding was they were part of a crew which had completed their
trek, and that they had ONE more night in base camp. The trek they
completed didn't hike to the Tooth, so this father and son wanted to make it
to the Tooth in a day hike before they left the next day.
I was kind of surprised............NO IDEA if they had permission to do this
or not. OR if anyone knew where they
were..................................ONE thing, I know they didn't bring
enough water.
