No, this isn't true!
One of my friends, a former multi-time Philmont Ranger, relays the story
that he and some fellow Rangers were travelling in Texas and were asked
where they were from, and responded that they were from Virginia. "Oh,"
they responded, "East Texas!"
So you see, to Texans we're all Texans....
