I have a question about the change in Trek #24. When we did this trek in 2003, the trek went from Rich Cabins to Pueblano Ruins to Copper Park. This allowed you to do Continental Tie & Lumber @ Pueblano and Gold Mining & Panning, Mine Tour & Blacksmithing @ French Henry. Now, I understand this part of the trek goes Rich Cabins to Greenwood Canyon to Copper Park.

I have the 1998 Valle Vadel map, and I cannot find the trail from Greenwood Canyon. However, I am guessing it does not go through French Henry.

Does this mean Trek #24 no longer includes activities at both Pueblano and French Henry?

As I noted in an earlier posting, Greenwood Canyon is partially shown on the overall map, but has been incorrectly labeled "Cottonwood" for years. Most of the route between the portion that is shown on the overall map and Copper Park is off ALL of the (previously issued) Philmont maps, and it was necessary to purchase and use the actual USGS Baldy quad sheet (which is why Tooth of Time Traders sells (sold) just that one map in addition to the overall and four sectionals.)

Regarding program, I would think that a crew that wanted to do those at French Henry could easily work them into their two days at Copper Park. Of course, they would now be going there and then backtracking up "The Wall", where previously they were merely passing through.

Program at Pueblano would be more problematic - the day from Copper Park through Head of Dean, with probably Conservation Project and program, then on to Upper Dean Cow is a long one. Going back down through French Henry to Pueblano for program, then up to Head of Dean and on to Upper Dean Cow I guess is possible, but it would definitely require doing the Cons project some other day somewhere else.
