We had the same concern for our council contingent to the National
Jamboree. The boys are required to get a valid California ID card if
they don't have a driver's license. Don't most states have that
equivalent?

Subject: [Philmont]: Photo IDs for scouts

Our crew will be traveling by automobile and train, and so I had not
planned
to require the scouts to carry a photo ID. It occurred to me, however,
that
if a scout were required to end his trek early and fly home, the TSA
rules
would require him to present a photo ID before boarding a commerical
aircraft. Has anyone encountered this situation? What are your
thoughts?
Many thanks,
