On average, I think the lunches are actually the heaviest meals. There are
a lot of ready-to-eat items with lunch; dinner is usually freeze-dried. I
have a couple dozen Philmont meals here at home and a quick unscientific
comparison by lifting each package confirms this. However, I don't have
every meal, so there may be some lunches that are lighter than some dinners.
You probably want to check the specific meals you are considering switching.
