Dont forgetDouble H only sends out a maximum four crews per day (at least
thats how its been in the first two years). Assuming that they operate
with about 60 departure days over the summer, thats 240 crews if theyre
fully subscribed (which it looks like they are). If youre number 80, that
means that 1/3 of the registered crews would need to drop off before youd
get a call. I wouldnt get my hopes up

Subject: RE: [Philmont]: Double H Wait-list
From: Cliff and Donna Coan
I apologize for this being a little off-topic, but my troop just got its
wait-list confirmation from the Double H (we're at number 60 of 389), and I
wondered if anyone might have a feel for how far the Double H usually gets
into the wait-list? I'm wondering whether to tell the troop it's a lock, a
possibility, or remote.
I could be wrong, but I don't think there has been a waitlist for HH before
this year, so I suspect we have no idea how deep they'll go. I can't
imagine it will go very far, though. If Philmont gets to 300 of 1450, then
a similar proportion for HH would be about 80, which would fit your number
in. However, as discussed here, the 300 may possibly be an aberration, we
just don't know yet.
Also, I don't believe this is off-topic. I get the impression that HH is
appropriate for this list.
