[Philmont]: Philmont alternatives

For a compendium of council run high adventure treks all across the country, as well as a soup to nuts description of how to organize and support your own do it yourself trek, check out the BSA publication Passport to High Adventure, available at your local council office.

Even those who are lucky enough to have secured a Philmont trek will find this book a very valuable resource.
