Hello all,

I carry a Blue Kazoo North Face bag which is down which brings another
discussion point but is rated to 20F. Its great and comfortable for me. I carry
it in a waterproof stuff bag with my sleeping clothes which include long
underwear T, just in case. I also carry a very light weight skull cap. The bag
weighs just shy of 3.0 lbs. I agree that the comfort or rating should be
considered if traveling in the high country. An inflatable pad works great
for a good night's sleep for us old guys. Having layering options is a key,
you just never know if about the weather and after a hot day with falling
temperatures it can seem colder than the actual temperature. I think I remember
carrying a Coleman "cotton " bag that was probably rated 40+ in 1971. I
also remember being cold a few nights in the higher elevations but most of all
I remembered what a great experience I had as a Scout!
