*Always* set up the dining fly. You need it for protection of your packs, a
locality for AP Paper, fuels, stoves, trowel, etc. so they can be found
rapidly, and some shelter for the cook as dinner and breakfast are prepared.

We set it up every night. It becomes just one of the steps in camp set up
and is part of the duty roster. With the groups I have been with, making
the decision to set up or not set up would take as long or longer than just
setting up the tarp.

We also put a small twig in the eyelet to keep the ring from ripping out. I
would rather put the fly back up instead of having a rip in it.

While we are on the dining fly thing. Do you all set the fly up every
night? I don't.
