[Philmont]: Philmont Trek cards received Thursday, March 13

We received our packets at the Portland Cascade Pacific Council office
Thursday. Because one of the other advisors who went in 2004 had very good
luck with FedEx I mailed them though the local FedEx/Kinko's. The clerk
assured me that they would be there by Friday. We'll see.

Just for my curiosity, would those of you going let us know what date you
will be getting to Philmont and your Treks of choice? I would be curious to
see which treks are the most popular.

The usual story from those IN Cimarron is that Fed Ex is not the best
choice. So I too will be interested in hearing your results. Also, keep in
mind that you are not competing with the 1800 odd crews going to Philmont
this summer, just the 30 or 35 arriving the same day you are, with 70 trek
choices available to them. A reasonably prompt response will 'usually' put
you in the 85% of crews that get their first or second choice.

Most popular? That's easy - 21 and 24, year in and year out. The only
question is which will be #1 and which #2.
