Read it cover to cover before training my 2004 crew. It was dead-on in every
way and helped me to anticipate and avert several issues that would have
caused problems at Philmont. Coop and Wally have many years of Philmont
experience between them, as well as insights drawn from a cadre of other
advisors that they know. Coop updates The Guide annually with new
information.

I have a question for those who have hiked Philmont in the last two
years. Did you read the Philmont Advisors Guide? If so how useful and
accurate did you find it? I have purchased and read the guide. The
information looks good to me but I don't have any recent experience
at Philmont.
