Sorry for the typo in my quotation from Bill Cass' book "Return to the Summit of Scouting."The passage should have read: "Occasionally groups did not need rangers---especially groups from Rocky Mountain states and places like New Hampshire", Unfortunately, I left out the word "not".
My apologies to those from the Rocky Mountain states and "places like New Hampshire" who may have been unintentionally slighted as a result of the typo.
