In 1993, each of the staffed camps had a sign on the exchange box: "Do not
leave Cream-of-Wheat!" From that, I surmise it was not just the Scouts who
didn't care for the stuff.

My daughter raves about the new "Oatmeal-to-go" (or something like that)
bars that are now in the stores. All the benefits of oatmeal without the
hassle of cooking. Maybe Philmont will explore adding them to the breakfast
meal line-up.... It would be fine by ME if they replaced the cream-of-wheat
breakfast with them. Cream-of-wheat must be an acquired taste depending on
the region you are from. Here in the West, the kids prefer oatmeal to
cream-of-wheat by a margin of about 10 to 1 <g>! YIS. Mike ('76, '02, '04
and '07).
