The use of mini loaf bread pans has nothing to do with the Turkey bag method. Its a way to hold the bags of dehydrated food and hot water instead of building a corral of rocks or logs as the food reconstitues using the Crew 506 system. That system means each entree is reconstituted in its own bag and eaten as seperate entree - no one pot glop for us! No pots get dirty, heat one large pot of water, scoop water into dry food and envelope - just like regular dehydrated trail meals.

During all the meal preparation discussions, someone mentioned the use of mini loaf pans to sit the turnkey bag in. I have two questions- what are the dimensions and secondly, if you are bringing a stove, why not place the stove in the bottom of a cut off plastic milk jug, which nests in the pot you boil the water in? You'll have a dual purpose item - one to use as a wash basin, and the other for holding the turkey bag?
