I'd like to echo Joe's compliment. My only regret is that I don't have
a backpacking trek to select to make use of this wonderful tool. The
cross reference queries are effective and well done. I see beauty in
their simplicity.
I'm still awaiting info on this year's Cavalcade treks. There are far
fewer and not many choices (northern or southern trek!). I'll forward
any info on to you once it arrives.
I would also be anxious to see, beg, barrow or steal you're final slide
show. What sound track are you using? I still listen to the U.A. Air
Force Academy Choir's version that was linked from this list a year or
two back. A bit formal perhaps, but reverent.

It may already have occurred to you but let me mention anyway
that a slide show where there is a photo that accompanies each visual
reference in the song (Silver on the sage; . . . ; against an azure sky;
. . .; and so on ) would make for a very powerful presentation. I'm
sure you will be able to find pictures that will do a good job. After
all the song was Philmont inspired. I hope your appeal brings in many
more photographs to complement the ones already there.
I am deeply appreciative of the job you have done with the
Philsearch project. I hope many more contributions come in but what you
have done so far is quite wonderful, will help so many and has given a
great deal of enjoyment permitting many of us to "see" Philmont again.
Best wishes,
Joe Jansen

I'm sure I have some on PhilSearch that will do, but
need others that really
amplify the words.
Please look through your collection(s) and consider
contributing - The
complete set will be indexed in PhilSearch's photo
album.
I'm sure that some of these can be satisified from
PhilSearch's current set,
and I'll accept suggestions from that collection as
well, but I'd suggest
that this isn't the week to try to cruise the Photo
Album ... the site's
getting hammered with the arrival of the Trek's Books.
1 Silver on the sage,
2 Starlit skies above,
2 Aspen covered hills,
4 Country that I love.
5 Philmont Here's thee,

9 Eagles soaring high,

Please include the Photographers name, location where
the photo was taken,
Troop # (including city & state), trek #, expedition
number and year so I
can include proper photo credit.
