wrt Coffee - None supplied by the commissary in food pickups, but coffee
supplies (bags and fixings) are offered at the Advisor's briefing the night
before you hit the trail - you are encouraged to take what you need. Joe
Simonis took a heat tab stove in '04 for his and had a cup each day.
wrt Hidden Valley - I'd take the clockwise route, the walk up the valley is
pretty with Widow rock being the climax and well worth the trip and even if
not take as a layover from cito it can be you route from the north to
hunting lodge, or even cito as tyhe back track is small and the views
unforgetable. Neither my '04 trek or '06 trek included hidden valley as
part of the official program, but memories from my youth caused me to
suggest the detour in '04. In '06 the youth leadership, who had been on the
'04 trek made the decision uncoached.
