Taking the time in the mornings to heat the water is not always on the
priority list when you're trying to hit the trail early. If you're going to
skip the coffee some days, without weaning off ahead of time, be prepared
for headaches - not fun when you're hiking high altitude! I weaned myself
off coffee over two weeks prior to heading to Philmont, and felt no effects
from the lack of the caffeine.

Sorry for three postings on the same day.
What is the situation with coffee at Philmont? I would like to have one
cup each morning. Do I bring my own supply or does Philmont supply for
advisers? I'm considering bring the one cup coffee bags, similar to
tea bags.
