The chafing of the groin question is what immediately came to mind when
I read the original post. "Walking pigeon toed" may be a subconscious
attempt to lessen contact / pain in the chafed area. That and an ill
fitting pack may be the bulk of the matter. Chafing and an ill fitted
pack could make even the easiest stroll a nightmare.

Perhaps the lad would benefit from form fitting silk briefs / boxers?
