[philmont] 2008 Itineraries

We did trek 13 in late June 07. The boys really keyed into flyfishing the first half of the trek (we brought along 2 backpacking rods). Black Mountain camp was another highlight; we loaded up with coal to bring down to camp from the fire road and did a lot of blacksmithing. The trek was reconfigured in 07 to include the "Stomp" at Cypher's Mine, which is a lot of fun. The day from Cimarroncito to Tooth Ridge Camp was very long; there was plenty of water at Shaffer's Pass and sunrise on the Tooth was an awesome way to start the hike back to base camp.

OK I'll break the ice. We had a crew meeting last week and had the boys
review, assess, vote on their top 5 programs they wanted to do then
selected what mountains they wanted to climb. Using Philsearch they
then figured out which treks would most suit their requirements. Having
said this, any comments or recommendations out there on Treks 4, 11, and 13?
