Our Council normally has work days at our Council camps in the spring and fall. Normally, there are plenty of conservation projects on-going at those two events, so we try to steer the Philmont'rs into going to one of those. Both of our camp rangers have plenty of projects if a trek wants to have one of their pre-trek readiness activities at camp and do some conservation work. Or even a special conservation campout in the fall where they can re-cap their Philmont adventure AND spend a day doing conservation projects under the ranger's direction. And if they are OA members, then we steer them to OA events where conservation projects are on-going (like Ordeal weekends). AND, if they want to participate in ArrowCorps5 this summer, they get a whole WEEK of conservation projects!
