I made the map.

I just used my original "Adventure Trip Plan" (also available on PhilSearch
in the Philmont Itineraries area) and my original Philmont topo map.

It's real good practice for reading topo maps because I had to identify the
topo features on google's 3D terrain picture.

It's a little rough on accuracy. I'm trying to find out how to overlay the
topographic info on the map which would allow more accurate trail lines, but
not give such good topo reading practice. There might also be a tool for
locating lat/lon when placing points.

It would be nice to somehow organize a collection of Philmont trek google
maps.

First, subscribe steve.tucker@srs.bis.na.blackberry.com to the philmont
list. I subscribed via email, but you should also be able to subscribe at
http://lists.usscouts.org/Philmont.asp

Next, go to http://usscouts.org/lists/lc.asp , fill in the form, and under
"Set the option for the specified list" select "Send only - no mail from
list"

Haven't tried it but I hope it works for you.

I have enjoyed reading this list for the past couple of years. Last
year was my first trek - 623-M-1

However, I am away from my pc most of the time and read the list via my
crackberry, but I can not respond from the crack, because I guess it looks
like the email response is coming from someone who is not subscribed to the
list.

 Anyone know of a workaround?

I don't want to subscribe to the list with two email address because that
would mean that I would be getting 2 copies of every message on my mobile
device as my pc mail is automatically sent to the blackberry

Here is an example of what happens when I send a message to the list from
the crackberry:

 ----------------------

 Delivery Status Notification (Failure)

The following message to <philmont@troop47.com> was undeliverable.
 The reason for the problem:
 5.1.0 - Unknown address error 550-'Sorry,

allowed to send mail to philmont@troop47.com' (delivery attempts: 0)

My real e-mail address is steve.tucker@troop919.org

I will be there is a computer guru out there that can suggest a fix.

 Thanks in advance!
