[philmont] Online Interactive Maps (was: Off Subject - sort of)

Maybe enlist Scouts to do some? I think it's really excellent learning
and practice for reading topo maps -- going back and forth between the
google terrain view and the hardcopy topo map. I think it'd be especially
good for Scouts to plot their treks before the trek. It seems like
having that much extra knowledge about the terrain beforehand would be
extremely valuable. As I was plotting my itinerary I kept thinking that
if I'd known that much about the terrain prior to my trip I would have
remembered a lot more of it.

Do you know if (where) we can get latitude/longitude information for the
camps? That would ease much of the plotting. In fact, it might be a
good idea to come up with a master map that has the camp and possibly
other landmark points on it. Use that as a template.
