[philmont] Hiking Boots

I can assure you in my experience it has made a world of difference.
When I'm out doors and hiking 5-10 miles I will inevitably find a hole,
large stick or something to roll my ankle on - guaranteed. If I have
low cut shoes it is usually a very painful experience. One of these
times I will probably crack something. If I am wearing my high cut
hiking boots (up over the ankle), when I go down I merely pick myself
back up and keep on moving with little to no effect on my ability to
hike. I would strongly recommend ankle support boots, particularly for
someplace like Philmont where there are a lot of obstacles etc...
