We had burros on our treks in 2003 and 2006. Picked up at Ponil and dropped
off at Miranda. The boys seemed to enjoy working with them and they
definitely did lighten the load. Only issue I recall was that they can slow
you down a little on the trail and getting started in the morning. Overall
the uniqueness of packing burros was worth the trouble.

I understand that if you select a trek that includes a burro, you must now
take the burro. It is no longer optional. Anyone that has had a burro
experience, please comment. Give pros & cons. Also whether your borro trek
was Ponil to Miranda or Miranda to Ponil.
Thanks,
Ed Reitemeier
