We had a burro (ponil to miranda) this last summer and it was a great
experience. The only downfall for us was that they didn't start the burro
program till 9am and it took 2 and a half hours, we were suppose to do our
cons. project that afternoon but did not make it to Pueblano in time so we
had to stick around the next day for the 8am project. leading us to another
late start we didn't get the burro to Miranda till after 6pm and still had
to hike back up the hill to Ewells Park.. If the scouts want to do a trek
with a burro do not try to discourage them from it. Even with all the stuff
that seemed like trouble it was worth the experience we would not get here
in California.
